The commitment to protecting the Environment is a fundamental pillar of LESKO S.A.C.IF.I.A., upon which all its productive activities are based.
We understand that achieving the balance between the environment (I), society (II), and the economy (III) is essential to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations. We are convinced that sustainable development is achieved through the equilibrium of these three fundamental pillars.
As a responsible member of society, LESKO establishes its Environmental Policy based on the following fundamental principles:
Comply with current environmental legislation and regulations, and with other requirements adopted by the company.
Carry out appropriate waste management, with an emphasis on the minimization, reuse, and recycling of waste.
Make responsible use of natural resources through the purchase of sustainable supplies.
Promote efficient water management by implementing best practices in its use.
Implement actions aimed at minimizing carbon dioxide emissions, to mitigate climate change.
Promote energy efficiency through the rational use of electricity and the utilization of new technologies, with a lower environmental impact.
Involve, train, and hold all company personnel accountable for environmental care, extending this objective to suppliers and subcontractors as well.
Environmental Management System based on continuous improvement implementation.
Facilitate communication and information channels regarding environmental matters, between the internal and external stakeholders of the organization.
Maintain and increase Corporate Social Responsibility actions, publicizing the pillars of environmental care that the company promotes to the community.
